Nightsolo's Mass Effect 2 Loyalty Missions

Contents

The Ardat-Yakshi

When you get it: A few missions after you recruit Samara, Kelly will mention that the Justicar wishes to speak with you. Do so, and learn what you can from her. After the conversation, you'll have this Mission, as well as a new Codex Entry.

Completing it: (You may wish to first change into a more...interesting casual outfit, as you'll soon be going to a club.) Go to Omega Nebula: Sahrabarik System, and Dock with Omega Station. Be sure Samara is in your squad, then Talk to Aria T'Loak.

Your next stop is an apartment on the southeast side, near the Mad Prophet, and adjacent to the door to Mordin's recruitment mission. Talk to Diana there to learn about her dead daughter, and to get permission to search the place. When you do, you'll get a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity to comfort Diana. Inside Nef's room, Examine the Statue, Open the Note, then Read the Diary. All three will give you clues about your next step. Samara will then explain the strategy.

Go north and Talk to the Bouncer in front of the VIP Only entrance to Afterlife. Be sure to drop the name Jarrut. You'll then have a conversation with Samara, where you can review your strategy. Inside, there are several things you can do, and each has different Morality consequences. First, ask the guy near the entrance about the band he likes. Do a few of these, and then Morinth will approach you:

When you are talking to Morinth, it's possible to screw up and not get Samara Loyal. Just stick to the topics of art, travel, and music, and pick only the responses with names (Expel 10, Hallex, Forta). Also say that power is its own reward.

You'll then go back to her place, where you'll have a chance to look around. Do so, and be sure to Scan the Assault Rifle for a Damage Upgrade. The other objects are for fun background on Morinth. When you're ready, Talk to Morinth. She'll figure out what's going on, and Samara will burst in and fight her. You then get a choice. You can Kill Morinth for Paragon Points, and to make Samara Loyal, or you can Kill Samara for Renegade Points, and to gain a Loyal Morinth as a squad member. consequences

Back aboard the Normandy, Research the Upgrade you found, then Talk to Samara to hear her thanks, or Morinth, to learn more about her. Morinth will pretend to be her mother, and though several squad and crew will have their suspicions, the ruse is never brought to light.

Eye for an Eye

When you get it: Some time after Horizon, Kelly will mention that Garrus would like to speak with you. Go down to the Crew Quarters and do so. Garrus will ask you to help him get revenge.

Completing it: Go to Serpent Nebula: Widow System, and Dock with the Citadel. Put Garrus in your squad. Talk to Captain Bailey, who will direct you to the Warehouse. Once there, you'll meet a volus with two krogan bodyguards. Initially, you'll get a Renegade Interrupt Opportunity to shoot them. If you miss it, they'll just leave. The volus then reveals that Fade is actually Harkin (the drunk, corrupt C-Sec officer from Mass Effect 1).

Take the Rapid Transit to the Factory District. Harkin will recognize you and run away, leaving you to kill his guards. Through the two doors you'll find some Trash with some Credits in it, and a Med Kit. Kill the two mechs that activate to the left, then make your way through the maze of crates, killing mechs and mercs as you go. Before you go through the large open doors, there's a Wall Safe on the left you can Bypass for some Credits. Through the doors on the left is a Med Kit and some Circuit Boards you can Bypass for some Credits. Round the open pit, several mechs and mercs will attack you. There are two cranes on the right you can Bypass their Circuit Boards for Credits, but clear the area first, because if you get hit, you'll lose them.

At then end, you'll find a Med Kit, some Power Cells, some Iridium, and a Laptop you can Hack for some Credits. When you're ready, Lower the Bridge Control. Kill all the mercs, including a commander and a heavy mech. Towards the end, you'll find a Med Kit and some more Circuit Boards. Go through the door to find a Medical Station, some Power Cells, a Wall Safe, and some Forged IDs. You should Take these to start or satisfy the Assignment False Positives / Forged IDs. When you're ready, Open the Window Control to have a brief conversation with Garrus.

Go through the door to the right and Hack the Terminal for a Sniper Rifle Damage Upgrade. Through the next door is an open area with lots of platforms. Kill mechs and mercs as you make your way to the back. EDI mentions that you can shoot the crates moving overhead to drop them on the bad guys (good luck with that). About halfway down on the right side is a DataPad you can Hack for some Credits. As you approach the last stretch, two heavy mechs will drop in. Be careful, as they can climb as well as you can. Once they're down, as you approach Harkin's control booth, he'll reconfigure the platforms and send two final light mechs against you. Approach the booth, and Garrus will confront Harkin. Towards the end of the conversation, there is a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity to prevent Garrus from shooting Harkin.

The scene then shifts to elsewhere on the Citadel, and you go to meet Sidonus, while Garrus gets into position. You'll then have two opportunities to either warn Sidonus, or step out of the way so Garrus can take the shot. Regardless, Garrus will be Loyal. Back aboard the Normandy, Research the Upgrades you picked up, then Talk to Garrus to let him thank you.

The Gift of Greatness

When you get it: After Horizon, Jacob will ask you to help him out.

Completing it: Go to Rosetta Nebula: Alpha Draconis System, then Scan and Land on 2175 Aeia. Follow the path down to the wreckage of the ship. Listen to the Partial First Officer's Log, then go into the ship. Inside you'll find three more Logs from the crew, as well as a PDA you can Hack for some Credits.

Go back outside and continue along the path a few steps. Talk to the Activated Beacon VI to learn more about what's going on here. Continue along the path to the crates, where you'll enter into conversation with a female survivor. You'll then be attacked by male survivors, and there will be a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity to save the female's life. Kill the rest, then Salvage some Spare Parts for Credits before continuing.

Examine the Stripped Mech, then approach the settlement to initiate a conversation with the female survivors. Examine the Food Stores, then Examine the Statue to learn more about what's going on. You may Talk to the survivors, but they only sound scared and retarded (in the medical sense, not the insulting sense). Loot a Med Kit and get some Credits from the Spare Parts and the PDA. You'll be attacked by a few light mechs. When they're destroyed, Talk to the Doctor. You'll have a conversation with Jacob as he skims the history of the place.

Ahead is an Inactive Mech you'll Bypass to clear the way. Around the next corner are some crates being guarded by several light mechs. Kill them and Salvage the Spare Parts for Credits and Scan the Heavy Pistol for a Research Upgrade before continuing. Around the next corner will be some more mechs. Loot some Power Cells and a Medical Station, and Salvage the Spare Parts for some Credits. Then you'll have to kill some humans and a heavy mech. When they're clear, you will find some Element Zero and a PDA with Credits near the door.

Go through and approach Ronald Taylor to start a conversation. At then end of the conversation, you can choose from three options: 1) He can't escape the law now to have him taken into custody, or 2) I'd shoot him to have Jacob hand him a gun to shoot himself, or 3) the neutral option to leave him to his fate. No matter your choice, Jacob will be Loyal, and you'll be back on the Normandy having a conversation with the Illusive Man. When next you talk to him, Jacob will thank you. Also, be sure to Research the Upgrades you found.

A House Divided

When you get it: After you choose to keep Legion, activate it and Talk to it. It'll ask you to deal with the geth heretics.

Completing it: Go to Phoenix Massing: The Sea of Storms System, and Dock with Heretic Station. When you board, Legion will inform you that it's infiltrated the network and you now have the option of rewriting the heretics rather than destroying the station. You can voice your opinion now, but the actual choice will be made later. At several points, you'll see glowing green lines on the floor. Avoid stepping on these as you will just wake up the attached geth at full strength. Instead, blow up the hubs they're connected to, which damages the geth and makes the ensuing battle easier. Destroying the hubs is necessary to open doors anyway. There are also Turrets set up, which you can interact with to turn them to your aid. After a few seconds they'll self-destruct, and not hacking them just leaves them inert.

The way to the server room is along a linear set of hallways. You cannot get lost. You'll have a couple opportunities to discuss things with Legion, and there will be some loot, but nothing hidden or out of the way. At one point, you'll go through a door and be attacked by geth to your right. To the left is a Terminal you can Bypass for a Geth Sheild Strength Upgrade. Eventually, you'll come to a Geth Terminal overlooking a large area. When you Open it, Legion will begin hacking it, and several waves of heretics will attack you from below. Fend them off, with the help of overridden turrets. When the process is complete, you have a choice to make: We'll rewrite them or It's safer to kill them. (Destroying them adds "points" in ME3 towards making peace between the Quarians and Geth.) Either way, there will be a three minute timer for you to exit the station. You'll be attacked on your way out, but you should have plenty of time to exit.

Back aboard the Normandy, If both Legion and Tali are Loyal, they'll have an argument. With enough morality points in either direction, you can diffuse the situation. If not, you'll have to choose one over the other, and you'll have to regain the Loyalty of the other via conversation and Paragon/Renegade choices. If you were romancing Tali, there's no way to regain that romance if you choose Legion. When speaking to Legion afterwards, ask about upgrades, and it'll mention that it wants access to the FTL comm buoys. Even if you deny its request, you'll still get the Widow Sniper Rifle.

Old Blood

When you get it: Some time after Horizon, Kelly will mention that Mordin wants to speak with you. Do so, and Mordin will inform you that one of his old students has turned up, and he'd like to pay him a visit.

Completing it: Go to Krogan DMZ: Aralakh System, and Land on Tuchanka. Put Mordin in your squad, then go Talk to the Clan Leader (either Wrex or Wreav), who points you to the Chief Scout. Before speaking with him, however, be sure to pick up the
Combustion Manifold Assignment from the Mechanic, and before leaving for the hospital, agree to look for the Missing Scout.

Right next to the drop zone is a Weapons Locker, on the off chance that you just screwed up your loadout on the selection screen, and you can't be bothered to load the autosave for this Mission. Kill your way along the path. About halfway there you'll find a Med Kit, and a little bit further is some Iridium. The next door you come to will be the hospital, but before going in, be sure to Salvage the Combustion Manifold on the upside-down Taunka to the right of the door.

Inside the hospital, you'll find several points to stop and talk to Mordin. Down the first flight of stairs on the right is some Iridium. Through the first door, you'll meet a speaker for clan Weyrloc. At the end of the conversation, there's a Renegade Interrupt Opportunity where you can shoot the gas pipe below him and set him on fire. The opportunity lasts through the entire long-winded speech. However the conversation ends, clear the room. Loot here is some Iridium on the floor, and a Medical Station up the first ramp. Through the next two doorways, straight ahead are some Circuit Boards worth some Credits. In the room on the right is some Iridium, and the room on the left has a Research Upgrade you should Hack out of a Terminal.

Through the next door on the right you'll find a DataPad you can Hack for some Credits, as well as a Sick Krogan. This is the Missing Scout. Through the next door is an open area. Kill the vorcha and krogan, then before you cross the bridge, find some Circuit Boards to Salvage for Credits. Across the bridge, loot the Medical Station, then beware the varren and krogan that rush out of the door on the left. Loot the Power Cells, then go down the stairs and take cover against the next two waves of enemies.

In the door on the right is a Locked Crate you can Bypass for some Credits. Go through the door on the left and down the stairs. Hack a Research Terminal for an Upgrade, then go through the next door to enter a conversation with Maelon. At some point, Mordin will pull a gun to kill him, at which point there is a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity allowing you to prevent this. Otherwise, Maelon dies. You then have the option of what to do with the research data. Keeping it yields Paragon Points (and allows Eve to live through ME3), whereas destroying it yields Renegade Points. consequences At the end of the conversation you have the option of sticking around, but the only loot is a Computer with some Credits on it.

You'll be returned to the Urdnot camp when you're done. Turn in the Assignments Missing Scout and Combustion Manifold. Back aboard the Normandy, Research the Upgrades you found, and Talk to Mordin so he can thank you.

The Price of Revenge

When you get it: Download and install the Zaeed DLC. When you recruit Zaeed on Omega, he'll tell you he has something he wants to take care of "immediately" as part of his deal with the Illusive Man.

Completing it:
Go to Ismar Frontier: Faia System, and Scan Zorya. Land on the Planet, and walk along the only path. You'll come to an open area where you'll be attacked by Blue Suns mercs. Kill them, then loot a Med Kit under the catwalk, and Access a PDA for some Credits, also under the catwalk. Continue along the only path, and Activate the Bridge Control.

You'll enter conversation with Zaeed. After the talking, continue along the path, loot some Palladium, and continue until you come to the Gatehouse. When you Open the Door, you'll be in dialog, where Zaeed confronts and then drives off Vido and his men. As Vido gets away, Zaeed blows open a way in. After your first reaction to this, there's a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity.

After the conversation, you'll have a new Codex Entry. Kill the remaining mercs, then go through the door and around the platform to pick up some more Palladium. You'll note that Zaeed's stunt set the entire refinery ablaze. Open the Refinery Door, and a worker will come fleeing from the burning building behind, and will explain that there are workers trapped inside. Zaeed will insist on letting them all die to pursue his target, but the decision on which path to take is ultimately up to you. There is no turning back once you pick a path.

The Paragon way is to go into the refinery to save the workers. Bypass the first door, then find two Fuel Controls to Reroute, followed by some parts to Salvage for Credits. There's another Fuel Control before you head up the stairs, where you'll find some Palladium. Inside the next door is a Research Terminal with a Heavy Weapon Ammo Upgrade. Activate the Fire Extinguishing System, then go through the door and hop down the crates, where you'll find even more Palladium. In the next room, pick up the M-451 Firestorm (along with its corresponding Codex Entry), and use it on the two mercs in the next room. Salvage the Servos here for some Credits, and loot the box of Power Cells. If you don't like the M-451 Firestorm, you may alter your loadout at the Weapons Locker here.
Go through the door into a wide open area full of mercs. They will attack you in waves, ending in a YMIR Heavy Mech. During the fight, two fuel tanks hanging from the ceiling will start to move. You can shoot them a few times to cause them to fall on the bad guys. In the middle of the room is a Med Kit. In the two upper small side rooms you can Salvage Various Industrial Bits for some Credits; the lower rooms are empty. When you're ready, go through the big door across the bridge to trigger the final scene, and you will arrive just in time to see Vido escape on a shuttle, and Zaeed will be upset. The only way to make him Loyal is to say the Paragon Option.

The Renegade way is through a dozen mercenaries. Kill them as you follow the only path you can. Just through the second door, on the right, are some Servos you can Salvage for some Credits. Up the short stairs on the left is a Research Terminal you can Access for an Assault Rifle Damage Upgrade. In the next open area, kill the 8 or so mercs, and Open the Door at the far end. Go through two more doors, and loot some more Palladium on your left. Continue through the next open doorway and pick up the M-451 Firestorm, along with its corresponding Codex Entry. In the next room, after you kill the two mercs, to the right of the door are some Power Cells and a Weapons Locker.
When you're ready, go through the big door across the bridge to trigger the final scene, where Zaeed kills Vido. Zaeed is now Loyal.

The Prodigal

When you get it: After Horizon, Kelly will mention Miranda wants to speak with you. Do so, Miranda will mention she wants to help her sister.

Completing it: Go to Crescent Nebula: Tasale System, and Land on Illium. Be sure that Miranda is in the squad you take with you. In the Eternity bar in the back room, there will be an Asari named Lanteia waiting to Talk to you. Learn what you can, then say you're ready to go.

You'll make a dramatic entrance, then talk to a merc leader for a bit. Learn what you can from him, then warn him to leave, either politely or not. You'll then have a Renegade Interrupt Opportunity where you kill him and some of his squad in one shot. If you don't take it, you'll have to kill them yourself anyway. Clear out the remainder, then fight your way around the corner to the elevator. Once there, you'll have a conversation with Miranda.

Upon exiting, hang an immediate right and go in the container to find a PDA you can Hack for some Credits. Kill the mercs who appear, then make your way around the conveyor and into the next cargo container, where you'll find a Med Kit, and a Submachinegun you should Scan for an Upgrade. Continue around the corner to find some Credits in a Locker, then kill the mechs and mercs. Around the conveyor is a Dead Merc you should Scan for a Med-Gel Capacity Research. Inside the container to the right is a Secure Terminal you can Hack for some Credits.

Continue on and kill the next set of mercs. In the container to the right is a Hackable PDA on a Dead Merc containing Credits. In the next container is some Element Zero. Outside before you go around some crates is a Secure Terminal that you can grab some Credits off of. Kill the mercs coming off the elevator, then before you get on it, loot the Power Cells and the Medical Station.

You'll have a conversation on the way up, and it'll continue as you confront Niket and Enyala. Later in the conversation, Miranda will aim at Niket, and you'll have a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity to prevent her from pulling the trigger. You'll then need to clear out all the remaining mercs. On the east side of the area you'll find a Med Kit. Near the elevator on the northwest side you'll find a Secure Terminal with some Credits on it, as well as a Trinket, which is used for the Assignment Lost Locket Found.

On the elevator, you'll have another conversation with Miranda. Upon exiting the elevator, you'll have a choice about whether or not to encourage Miranda to introduce herself to her sister. Back aboard the Normandy, if both Miranda and Jack are now Loyal, the two will have an argument. If you're romancing one of them, you'll need to side with your love interest. Doing so will cause the other woman to lose Loyalty, but you can regain it through your next conversatoin with her. Otherwise, the Paragon and Renegade options will calm them down. Talk to Miranda so she can thank you. Research the Upgrades you found.

Rite of Passage

When you get it: Sometime after Horizon, Kelly will mention Grunt is having some issues. Head down to Engineering to talk to him, and he'll request a trip to Tuchanka.

Completing it: Go to Krogan DMZ: Aralakh System, and Land on Tuchanka. Put Grunt in your squad, then go Talk to the Clan Leader (either Wrex or Wreav). He'll direct you to the Shaman upstairs. Learn what you can from him, then agree to start the Rite. Uvenk will voice his protest, and you may use a Renegade Interrupt or just talk him down. When you're ready, you'll be transported to the mission map.

There will be three phases to the Rite, and you start each phase by Activating the Keystone. Feel free to run around first and loot the Med Kits and Power Cells, though you may want to save them for later phases. Thermal Clips will respawn between phases. The first two phases you just need to survive a couple waves of monsters. The third phase is a Thresher Maw. All you have to do for it is survive for five minutes, but you should be able to take it out anyway for the Achievement and bragging rights back in camp.

After you survive, Uvenk will show up and make an offer to Grunt. No matter what you say, Grunt will refuse, and you'll have to kill Uvenk and his men. If you want to loot the stuff in the area, do so before killing the last enemy, as you'll be transported back to camp as soon as the area is clear. Near where you start are two Med Kits and a krogan corpse with credits on him. In the opposite corner of the area is another corpse with credits on him.

Back in camp, you'll be talking to the Shaman. You'll now get a discount at Fortak's Store. Back aboard the Normandy, Research a new Upgrade, and Talk to Grunt so he can thank you.

Sins of the Father

When you get it: Some time after recruiting Thane, Kelly will mention he wants to speak with you. Go down to the Crew Deck and do so. Thane will ask that you stop by the Citadel to help him with a situation with his son.

Completing it: Go to Serpent Nebula: Widow System, and Dock with the Citadel. Put Thane in your squad. Talk to Captain Bailey to learn that you should be talking to Mouse, just outside the Dark Star Lounge. Do so. To get the information, you can use a Renegade Interrupt, or patiently talk him out of it. If you ask about the Shepard VIs, you can either demand a share of the profits or request a copy, but nothing ever comes of it. Return to Bailey and he'll set up an interrogation of Kelham for you. No matter what you say, you'll get the information you need. Bailey will then get you to where you're going.

You'll find yourself up in the rafters. First grab the Heavy Pistol Damage Upgrade from the DataPad nearby. Your goal is to keep tabs on Talid. Every now and again, target him and Update Thane on Talid's whereabouts. Go through the catwalks and doors above, following him. Eventually you'll come to a stock room, and the Stock Boy will try to stop you. There are a couple of Renegade Interrupt Opportunities, as well as some Renegade and Paragon dialog choices, but eventually he'll let you through. And just in the nick of time, too (I jest: there's actually no way to fail this).

After that, through the second door you'll get a cutscene showing Kolyat attempting to kill Talid. You and Thane then give chase, and there's a showdown. You'll have a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity to disarm Kolyat, but if you miss it, a Paragon choice to talk him down or shoot Talid yourself. You'll then wind up talking to Bailey. Respond to his hint that Thane may have been responsible for some old, unsolved murders. Then Thane joins you. You can convince Bailey to let Kolyat off with community service for some Paragon Points, or let Kolyat work unofficially for Bailey. Return to the Normandy to research the Upgrade you found, and Talk to Thane to hear his thanks.

Stealing Memory

When you get it: Download and install the Kasumi DLC. When you recruit Kasumi on the Citadel, she'll tell you she has something she wants to take care of "immediately" as part of her deal with the Illusive Man, but you can wait as long as you like.

Completing it: From the Citadel, go to the nearby system of Boltzmann, and Land on Beckenstein. Kasumi won't be allowed in, but will follow you stealthed. The first thing you need to do is find the Vault. It's down some stairs at the back. When you get there, Kasumi will decloak and ask you to do four things:
  1. From the Vault, go right, and immediately near the door on the floor, Examine the Kinetic Barrier Power Cable here, and Kasumi will alter your Omni-Tool. Follow the glowing power cables to the Fireplace, then Pull a nearby Statuette. This reveals a control panel, which Kasumi will take care of.
  2. From the entry hall, Bypass the door to the Security Room and go in. Kill a couple of security guards, then loot the Wall Safe and the Medical Station. Read the Datapad for the Password.
  3. To get a sample of Hock's voice, all you have to do is Talk to him. It doesn't matter what dialog options you use.
  4. You'll need a sample of Hock's DNA, which you'll find in his bedroom. There are two ways to get in:
    1. Read the DataPad on the west side of the Patio outside. Talk to the guard in front of the bedroom door inside to the east, Kasumi will pretend to be his superior, and will order him to let you in.
    2. Go out to the east side of the Patio outside, and Sneak into Private Quarters from the Balcony Railing. There are three guards. The first you can walk up to and knock off the ledge with Melee, then kill the others. Go up the boards in the back and shoot the window to get in. Note that you'll also have to shoot some more guards as you leave the bedroom and go up the stairs.
Once you're inside the bedroom, Examine all the objects you can, and eventually Kasumi will tell you she's got enough DNA. Search the couch for 1 Credit, and Bypass the Safe for 7800 more.

After you've done all those things, meet Kasumi at the Vault. You will then change into your battle gear, and enter the Vault proper. You may Examine all the objects to hear a comment from Kasumi on each one. Check out the Statue of Liberty Head to get a Codex Entry. You may recognize the "creature" from the Dragon Age series of games. Be very careful when Examining the Kassa Fabrications Locust to add it to your arsenal, as your target is right next to it, and clicking the wrong thing might cause you to miss out on the new gun. When you're ready to continue, pick up the Greybox. This will start a dialog with Hock, during which you'll get a Renegade Interrupt Opportunity. After the conversation, several guards will attack.

You will then have to fight your way out of the estate. Follow the only path available to you, killing and looting as you go (a Hackable PDA, some Palladium, four Med Kits, Salvage three Spare Parts, two Platinum, a non-hackable PDA, a Storage Crate, and some Power Cells). You'll have to use an odd-looking Mako to shoot the Volatile Tanks to blow a hole in the wall to continue. Be sure to Scan a dead merc in the second part of the tunnel for a researchable Tech Damage Upgrade.

When you get outside, Hock will attack in a gunship. For the most part you want to ignore it and concentrate instead on the waves of mercs who attack. Only when the coast is clear should you attack the ship itself. After the first couple waves, Kasumi will jump on the gunship and disable its shields. But again, clear out the mercs first. Towards the far left side are two Med Kits and some Power Cells.

After Hock is dead and the mercs and mechs are dead, get on the Normandy's Shuttle. When it's all said and done, you'll have a choice about what to do with the data Kasumi recovered. Your choice doesn't affect anything, and won't even earn any morality points. (You'll learn what the secret is in ME3, assuming Kasumi survives this game). Kasumi will also be Loyal, regardless. Also, the outfit you were wearing at the start of this will become available as a "casual" option in the Captain's Cabin.

Bug: The game might freeze as you exit the mission. After you've restarted your computer, find or create a shortcut to the game, right-click on it and choose Properties. In the Target field, put [space] -nomoviestartup at the end of the quotes. This also disables movies elsewhere, so after you've successfully saved, be sure to exit the game and remove the tag. When you restart the game, the autosave will have you at the last wave of combat.

Subject Zero

When you get it: After Horizon, Jack will figure out where it was where she was turned in to what she is.

Completing it: Go to Nubian Expanse: Dakka System, and Land on Pragia. From the landing pad, go down the ramp and into the building. Straight ahead is a storage room, with a Locked Terminal you can Hack for some Credits. Backtrack a bit and go through the door. Down the ramp is a Security Console looping two lines. Turn it Off to hear your squadmates make a comment, then go through the next door.

Go down the ramp and to the right you'll find a Locked Storage Crate you can Bypass for some Credits. Continue around the debris and kill some varren, then Talk to Jack about a Blood Stain on the floor. Go through the next door and loot a Med Kit before you Open Log of a Security Console, then go through the nearby door. Bypass the door on the left and inside you'll find some Element Zero.

Continue down the stairs and into the Morgue, where you'll be attacked by Blood Pack mercs. When the area is clear, there's a PDA on the right you can Hack for some Credits. Bypass the next door, then follow the only path you can. You'll come to some stairs down, and some more Blood Pack will attack from the balcony above, and some varren will come from below. In the next to last cell on the right, Salvage some Circuit Boards for some Credits.

Through the next door go around the catwalk and loot a Med Kit. Through the door after that are a pair of labs. In the one to the right, loot some Power Cells, Hack the Research Terminal for an Upgrade, then listen to the two Security Logs. Through the next door is an open area where several krogan and vorcha will attack you. Once they're dead, there is a Secure Container opposite from where you entered that you can Bypass for some Credits. Though the next door, Hack a Research Terminal for some Research, Listen to the two Logs, and pick up the Heavy Weapon Ammo.

Open the last two doors to enter into a conversation with Aresh, who will explain what happened here. In the end, you can convince Jack to let him go or shoot him. Optionally tell her to take her time, and you can Talk to Jack about many objects in the room and the hall to learn about Jack's past. When you're ready, Open the door to watch the place blow up. Back aboard the Normandy, if both Miranda and Jack are Loyal, the two will have an argument. If you're romancing one of them, you'll need to side with your love interest. This causes the other to lose Loyalty, which you can regain through your next conversation with her. Otherwise, the Paragon and Renegade options will calm them down. Then, go down to Engineering and talk to Jack so she can thank you.

Treason

When you get it: Some time after you recruit Tali, Kelly will mention that Tali wishes to speak to you. Do so, and she'll request that you meet up with the Migrant Fleet to face the charges against her.
Note that you can save this until you get Legion, and taking it along in your squad will add some dialog later. This will also cause less tension on the Normandy in ME3. (If you're worried about saving your crew, remember that you get two missions before they start dying.)

Completing it: Go to Valhallan Threshold: Reheel-Leyya System, and Dock with the Migrant Fleet. Note: if you're avoiding wearing a full suit or a helmet because it blocks your face, know that you'll be wearing a helmet no matter what the entire time you're on the quarian ships, so maybe choose a more clear option before docking.

Captain Kar'Danna will greet you, and answer a few of your questions. Go around the corner and approach Shala'Raan to talk for a bit and then start the trial. Afterwards, be sure to Talk to Shala'Raan and the three Admirals to learn their opinions on the matter (this gives you more options in the latter part of the trail). Also, if you saved Kal Reegar back on Haestrom, he'll be here to lend his moral support. Veetor will also be here, and will react based on what you chose to do with him back at Freedom's Progress. When you're ready, go through several doors and hallways, then Talk to the Shuttle Guard and let him know you're ready.

Once aboard the Alerei, go through the first door to a large room, and wipe out the geth that enter and attack. Here, you can loot a Med Kit, some Power Cells, Access two Laptops for Credits, and Play a Log. In the small room on the left, Hack a Terminal for some Credits, loot a Medical Station, then Talk to Tali about the Repair Drone. Through the next door is a Terminal you can Hack to get a Research Upgrade. Back in the hallway, Play another Log, then go through the door.

In the next room, one geth will attack you. When it's dead, Access two laptops to the right for some Credits, then Bypass a Wall Safe for some more. Play another Log before continuing up the stairs and into a large room being swarmed with geth. You may want to stay out of the room to give yourself time and space against the approaching hunters. In that room you'll find some Palladium and a Med Kit. In the next alcove to the right you'll want to Bypass a Wall Safe for some Credits, then Talk to Tali about the Wall Console.

Through the next door you'll be on an upper level, and geth will attack from below and the upper left. Again prioritize the hunters, as they will charge you. Below, you'll find two more Laptops with Credits, and a Med Kit. Play the Log, then approach the Dead Quarian to start a conversation. You'll have a Paragon Interrupt Opportunity early on. Afterwards, go in the door to the left to find two Wall Safes, some Power Cells, and a Med Kit. Then go up the stairs and in the door to the bridge. Kill the geth, then pick up the Model Flotilla Ship and Access the Laptop for some Credits. Get Evidence from the Quarian Console to finish up this part of the Mission and go back to the Fleet.

You'll have four choices about how to get through the trial:
  1. Refuse to show any evidence. Tali will be exiled, but you'll earn Paragon Points and she'll be Loyal.
  2. Show the evidence that implicates Rael. This gets you Renegade Points, Tali will be cleared, but Rael will be posthumously exiled, and Tali WON'T be Loyal.
  3. Use the Paragon or Renegade options to sway the judges. This will gain you Paragon or Renegade Points, Tali will be found innocent, and she'll be Loyal.
  4. In order to [Rally the crowd], You'll need to have a very high Paragon score, and have done 3 things: Kal'Reegar survived, you didn't give Veetor to Cerberus, and you spoke to the Admirals before taking back the Alarei. This nets you Paragon Points and Tali will be found innocent, and she'll be Loyal.
After the verdict, you'll be able to either encourage their war effort or try to tell them not to attack the geth. You can also talk to everyone again to learn how they feel about the outcome. Each conversation holds opportunities for more Paragon or Renegade Points. When you're ready, return to the Normandy. Stop by Engineering so Tali can thank you, then research the upgrades you picked up.
